BELL Volunteer Opportunities

Beginning with the 2025 Spring season, the BELL Volunteer Requirement has two components:

  • 8 volunteer hours per family 
  • 2 snack shack shifts
The following list outlines the available list of volunteer opportunities for families.

 82Snack Shack Manager Managing the Snack Shack to open/close snack shack and provide instruction to volunteers. The number of open/closing shifts required for each member of the committee will depend on number of home games. Role lasts for the entire season. Target team of 8.Snack Shack Manager  Maribel Chavez
 82Tournament Director All-Stars and Tournament of Champions (Regardless of your players status/eligibility for tournament play). Role starts at the end of the season, end of May and can go through mid-July. Must attend All-star games. President and Player AgentKyle Madej and Pat Thomas 
2Team Manager Head coach. Plan and execute practices. Create game line ups, monitor pitch count for Farm - Majors age divisions. knowledge of Little League Rules for division. 2Assistant CoachEach team will be allowed 2 official assistant coaches to be part of team staff and be allowed in dugout/on field during games. Little League requires this position pass background check. Additional assistant coaches are welcomed at the Manager's discretion  Player Agent and Safety Coordinator  Pat Thomas and Matt Marsili 
 82Team Parent Point of contact for your team, Set up calendar, method to contact team (Shutterfly, TeamSnap, GameChanger, Google Calendar), help distribute uniforms. Assign tasks such as field set up, field clean up, game day snacks, tracking teams volunteer hours, collect forms, organizing end of season party (optional), team basket. Little League requires this position pass background check.Volunteer Coordinator and Team Parent Coordinator Anna Thomas 
 Up to 8 hours0 Events Committee Help research vendors, plan and manage volunteers for events such as player Evaluations (end of January), Opening Day (early March), Closing Ceremonies (early June), Picture Day, Mother's Day, Hit-a-thon, Coaches' game, home run derby, etc. Hours and tasks to be agreed upon with BELL Event Coordinator. Target ~ 6-8 members per event Events Coordinator Monica Madej
  Up to 8 hours0 Facilities CommitteeRepairs, Lawn mowing, Light Construction Jobs, Grounds keeping, Electrical, Irrigation, Plumbing, etc. Role lasts throughout the season, hours to be coordinated with the Facilities Manager.   Up to 8 hours0Volunteer Umpire (Major and Minor) Requires attending umpire training or certification. Must be willing to be home plate umpire. Little League requires this position pass background check. 2 hours per game.

 21 Snack Shack ShiftEach snack shack shift is considered 2 hours.
**After your 2 required snack shack shifts are fulfilled, you can work in the snack shack to fulfill your 8 volunteer hours as well.

20Bathroom Cleanup  Clean both bathrooms, either before all games on Saturday morning or after all games on Sunday night.  20Field Day CleanupBELL will host 2-3 days for cleanup/maintenance. Hours can be earned in 2-hour shift increments. Duties to include pulling weeds, painting, clean snack shack, clean grills, pressure wash, fix banners, pick up trash, and other tasks as needed.
